If you find its not up to your standards, it doubles as a club to beat out your frustrations with. If you already have a T mount for your camera and a 2X, then you got it made. This lens is capable of a lot of magnification so you will need a lot of light and fast shutter speed to prevent shake in your image. Picture quality is passible if you have enough light and a sturdy tripod. If you drop it or damage it somehow you aren't out a huge amount. Made out of aluminium, it is fairly sturdy built and if you can overcome the play in the mount and zoom tube, it's a good lens to "beat up" in the field. The tripod mount is a sloppy fit as is the "zoom" tube which is merely an extention tube built on to the lens with "indications" of focal length. Comes in various brand names and in either black or white depemding on your preference.
